INAMI Katz scoring
The Katz scale, at the heart of the daily lump sum.
The Katz assessment determines each resident's dependency category (O, A, B, C, Cd, D) and therefore the INAMI lump sum paid to the facility. Resthome Care integrates the full Katz scale with automatic category calculation, validation workflow by the head nurse and doctor, and eAgreement sending to the insurer.
To never lose a single lump sum, validity-date tracking is automated: 60-day expiry alert (Attention Required filter), urgent 30-day notification, one-click renewal with pre-filled data. The five complementary clinical scales — MMSE for cognition, Braden for pressure sores, MNA for nutritional status, OHAT for oral health, Tinetti for balance — are integrated into the same record.
All data automatically feeds INAMI billing via eFact, primarily WalCareNet for Wallonia and MyCareNet for federal flows. Resthome is accredited by the National Intermutualist College (CIN) for MDA, eFact and eAgreement services, in synchronous and asynchronous modes.
Medication safety

Resthome Care utilise la base SAM (Source Authentique des Médicaments, plus de 5 000 références belges). Chaque prescription est vérifiée automatiquement contre les allergies déclarées du résident et les cross-réactivités connues.
Critical allergy
The prescription is blocked if the resident has a critical allergy to the active ingredient or an excipient.
Moderate allergy
A warning is shown — the doctor can validate the prescription in full knowledge.
Cross-reactivity
The system also checks cross-allergies between related molecules (penicillins, NSAIDs...).

Resthome Care is built on Odoo 19 (open source). Source code is accessible and auditable. You keep full control: no black box, no vendor dependency, your data stays yours. Odoo.sh hosting in Europe or on-premise, as you prefer.
The Care module is driven by a medical_mode flag that activates the medical dimension only when your facility needs it. The same database feeds administration (resident record), medical (care plan, registries), billing (eFact INAMI), Belgian accounting (PCMN) and HR — no re-entry, no manual sync.
For technical support, the LPLG team is based in Louvain-la-Neuve (Walloon Brabant) and responds in French, Dutch and English within 24 business hours. A named technical contact knows your configuration, the activated modules and your ticket history.

How much does Resthome Care cost per bed/month?
Resthome Care is part of the global Resthome pricing: €8 per bed per month for all business modules (resident record, Katz, 9 AVIQ nursing registries, eFact, MyCareNet, care planning, meals, family communication, reporting). Is Resthome accredited by the CIN?
Yes. Resthome is accredited by the National Intermutualist College (CIN) for MDA (insurability verification), eFact (electronic billing) and eAgreement (insurer agreement requests) services, in synchronous and asynchronous modes, for the nursing-home sector. A guarantee of technical reliability with every Belgian insurer.
How to migrate from Corilus, CareConnect or another tool to Resthome?
Migration runs in 3 phases: scoping (2-3 weeks — analysis of your current instance, resident-data export, field mapping), deployment (4-8 weeks — resident-record import, configuration of the 9 AVIQ registries, eFact setup), go-live (2 weeks of transient coexistence with on-site presence). Our teams review your exports/imports during initial scoping.
Which AVIQ registries does Resthome cover?
Resthome Care natively integrates the 9 required AVIQ nursing registries: wounds (with NPUAP staging), falls (with Tinetti), restraints (duration, medical prescription, re-assessment), continence, Braden (pressure-sore risk), pain (VAS, Doloplus for dementia), MNA nutrition, mobility, cognition (MMSE). All reports are pre-formatted for AVIQ inspections.
Does Resthome work on a tablet at the resident's bedside?
Yes. The Resthome Care interface is responsive and built for the field: tablet at the resident's bedside for quick entry of vital signs and nursing notes, smartphone for rounds, PC for Katz assessments and billing. Every action is automatically timestamped and signed.
How long to deploy Resthome in an MR/MRS?
For a standard Belgian facility (50 to 150 beds), progressive deployment spans 2 to 4 months depending on chosen modules and instance size. Phase 1 scoping (2-3 weeks), phase 2 deployment (4-8 weeks), phase 3 go-live (2 weeks with on-site presence), phase 4 continuous run with evolutionary maintenance.
Is support available in Dutch and English?

Is medical data hosted in Europe?
Yes. Resthome is hosted on Odoo.sh (Europe-managed cloud) or on-premise, as you prefer. Health data stays in the EU, encrypted at rest and in transit. GDPR compliance by design, immutable audit trail for 7 years (logs) and 30 years (medical data), access by care ward and role.
Is Resthome compatible with eHealth Belgium?
Yes. Resthome is natively compatible with the eHealth Belgium platform: secure login for caregivers, legally recognised electronic signature, end-to-end encryption of medical data. All insurer flows (federal INAMI and WalCareNet for Wallonia) go through eHealth — no manual certificate installation on your side.
